Zongshen Group Ranks No. 75 in “China Top 500 Private Enterprises”
|
On October 6, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce released the “2007 Findings in Survey of Private Enterprises above Designated Scale” in Beijing. In 2007, 2,950 private enterprises entered the list. It is said that this is the 10th year since the Federation started this survey, and the threshold for the enterprises has increased from revenue of RMB 90 million in 1998 to RMB 300 million in this year.
In 2007, Legend Holdings realized a sales income of RMB 146,601.67 million and hence was ranked No. 1 on the list, and Jiangshu Shagang Group, the second winner on the list, realized a sales income of RMB 115,504.16 million.
Six private enterprises in Chongqing are in the list, which are Zongshen Industrial Group (with a sales income of RMB 10,972.87 million in 2007), (No.75), Chongqing Lifan Holdings (No. 76), Chongqing Jinke Real Estate Development Company (No. 169), Chongqing Huayu Real Estate Development Company (No. 196), Chongqing Bosai Minerals Group Co., Ltd. (No. 301), and Chongqing Yu’an Innovation Technology (Group) Co. Ltd (No. 341).
The main economic indicators for 2007 “China Top 500 Private Enterprises” are as follows: The total sale income reached RMB 3,551.412 billion, increased by 31.55% over last year, namely, RMB 7,103 million for each enterprise; the total assets reached RMB 2,514.326 billion, increased by 35.54% over last year, namely, RMB 5,029 million for each enterprise; the net profit after tax reached RMB 164.310 billion, increased by 50.88% over last year, namely, RMB 329 million for each enterprise. The average sales profit rate was 4.63%, higher than the 4.03% of last year; the average rate of return was 6.53%, higher than the 5.87% of last year; the average ratio of asset turnover was 141.25%, which is slightly lower than the 146% of last year.
In 2007, “China Top 500 Private Enterprises” made greater contributions to the society: they paid taxes amounting to RMB 131.726 billion, namely, RMB 263 million per enterprise; they offered jobs for over 3,434,400 persons, namely, 6,869 employees per enterprise, which shows that private enterprises are still a main force in employment.
In 2007, out of “China Top 500 Private Enterprises”, 38 enterprises had overseas production divisions and 102 had overseas sales company; there were 127 domestic listed companies and 43 overseas listed companies; 86% enterprises had Party committee, and 84% established trade union; 87% passed the ISO9000 International Quality System Authentication, and 53% passed ISO14000 Authentication; over 60% enterprises provide endowment insurance, medical insurance and unemployment insurance.
141 out of “China Top 500 Private Enterprises” of year 2007 were Well-known Brand in China, the products of 139 enterprises were titled “China Top Brand Product”, and 238 enterprises were confirmed as Hi-tech Enterprise.
Manufacturing still dominates the list, and there are 312 manufacturing enterprises. The total sales income was RMB 2,358.785 billion, accounting for 66.42% of the total sales income of all 500 enterprises, and the sales profit rate of the industry was 4.90%.
68 private enterprises were also listed on “Top 500 enterprises in China”. The growth rate of sales income “China Top 500 Private Enterprises” reached 31.55% in 2007, which was much higher than the 25.3% of “Top 500 Enterprises in China”. |
